Red Rock Under The Full Moon
By karstentb on Nov 7, 2006 | In Outdoors, Photos
Last night I went out to Red Rock and took a few night shots under the full moon. I've been wanting to do this for quite some time, but the full moon only comes around once every 28 days, so if you miss it you have to wait a month. The actual full moon was around 5am Sunday morning, so the exposures last night were a bit longer than they would have been. I only took three shots, two of them about 3 minutes, the other one about 12. The 12 minute one looks nice, I think. You can see the star trails above Rainbow Mtn, in the center, Mt Wilson on the left, and other Spring Mountain peaks in the background on the right. Pine Creek Canyon is the dark area between Mt Wilson and Rainbow Mtn.
