American television should make documentaries like this one, by the BBC, about the Olympics in Ancient Greece. Not only that, the modern Olympics should be just the same as they were two thousand years ago: naked. I'm sure attendance and television viewership of the games would be way up.

But back to modern reality....

A regular visitor to my post office box is the Modoc County Record, the weekly newspaper serving the area in northern California where I own my little spot of land. It keeps me connected even when I can't go visit for a long time. I haven't been able to visit in the last fifteen months!

I always enjoy looking at the photos, but this week provided one of my favorite homo-erotic sport moments ever, when the staff photographer snapped this image of one of the Modoc boys pinning his opponent in Greco-Roman wrestling. Classic. Just classic.
I hope they don't get pissed that I'm using this photo without permission......
