It's monsoon season in the desert Southwest, and we've had thunderstorms and unusually high humidity here in Vegas for the last two days. I've been here for the most part of seven years now, and so I've seen it rain here a few times. But today when I walked outside after last night's showers, I noticed that everywhere I went smelled like cat piss. Rei tells me this is the odor of the wet creosote bush, but I've never noticed it before. It is very pungent. Bad stinky.
