Random Notes About May

I have been seriously neglecting my blogging in the past few months! Maybe I'll change; maybe I won't.
I've made a few changes to the site, notably the new header. No biggie.
Also, I've added a couple of new links to the Link list on the right. Looking for a website with list of everything? Visit Cracked, where you can read such opinions as, 5 Upcoming Comic Book Movies That Must Be Stopped, which includes Prince Namor: The Sub-Mariner, which happened to be my favorite comic book when I was a tween. Of course, he's always shirtless in a Speedo and looks Asian... just my type of comic book hero. Another of my favorite list from Cracked is The 5 Most Badass Presidents of All Time. Check out Andrew Jackson! A badass from my home state of South Carolina, and one for whom my grand-uncle is named. Badass!
In need of a little satirical racial stereotyping? Check out Stuff White People Like. I don't mind poking fun at myself and my race-- the author of SWPL is white, also-- and I hope people of every race and background have a chuckle over this humorous and insightful list. In particular, check out Grammer. It's totally me.
Oh oh! I've also added a little section called, What I'm Currently Reading. It's pretty self-explanatory. I'm usually through one book and started on another every few days. I'll try to keep the notice as up-to-date as possible. If any of you have seen photos of my bedroom, you have probably noticed I have several bookshelves, all full of books. So full, in fact, that it is now necessary that I pile the new ones in stacks on the floor. I love books. I like being surrounded by them. I like holding them. I like owning them. And, of course, I like reading them. So I'm in need of new bookshelves. The ones I have I myself constructed. They're fairly sturdy, as they're made of solid pine and screwed together, not like those cheap veneered particle board things. Anyhow, I've started making a list of my books. It's a time-consuming process. I've only finished about 100 of 600. The only reason I bother, though, is that a few days I bought a paperback version of a book I already had purchased and read in hardcover a few years ago. Silly me. So now I'll have to put my list on my PDA and consult it when I visit the bookstore.
Finally, Reimon and I are headed to San Fran, for our second trip there together, in 11 days, so I'll post the photos as soon as we return-- or possibly even while we're there.
