Karsten Builds A Desk

This weekend I finally built the desk I've been wanting to for some time. I've waited until now because until this week, there's been no room for it. Last Monday, however, I moved across the hall into the master bedroom of my home, which is twice the size of my previous cell.
I fretted quite a bit about how to construct the legs on the desk, as I was worried about stability. The bookcases I built have lasted and can support a good bit of weight, but have some lateral movement since I didn't gusset the corners. I fashioned L-shaped legs for the corners, which extend to support the back and sides of each part of the desk. I also built one side, which holds the LDC monitor and keyboard, a few inches lower than most desks, to be more ergonomic. It should be better for my wrists and neck. I hope.
So have a look! I'm very proud of it-- especially since it hasn't fallen apart yet.
