Wooden Dinosaurs & Big Cats

Dreams from the last two nights...
The dream began with me finishing up the construction of a 3-D wooden puzzle of a dinosaur, just like the one in the in the above photo. Once done, I walked outside of my house, which was constructed at the end of a box canyon. (A box canyon is a narrow, dead end canyon, like the one in the photo below, which I took at Wupatki National Monument near Flagstaff, AZ.)

Like the box canyon in the photo, the walls of the one in my dream were not terribly high, about 6 feet or so. I place the finished wooden dinosaur on a small shelf of rock on the canyon wall. Apparently I was proud of myself for making it, because I looked at it and smiled, but just as I did so I felt a ground-shaking thump-thump-thump, and looked towards the opposite end of the canyon. Around a bend walked a gigantic wooden t-rex, a life-size version of my model. I climbed up onto the roof of my house to hide from it, but the house was dilapidated and there were large sections of the roof that had fallen in. The t-rex roared and slammed his head into the house, causing it to collapse. I slid down from the roof as the house fell apart, and ran down a large hill to another house with a fenced in yard. Though the dream started in daylight, by the time I reached the second house it was night out. My friends seemed to be having a party of some sort. I told them about the dinosaur following me but they didn't believe me, so I kept running. I leapt over the fence and headed to yet another house. I turned back to see if the dinosaur had caught up and saw my friends-- there were five or six of them-- coming around the corner of their house to see what I was doing. They were drinking and laughing, and suddenly I saw the t-rex just a few dozen yards behind them. They heard him coming, turned to look, and then began running towards me, away from the giant wooden dinosaur. Seeing that they now understood the danger of the situation, I continued running towards the neighbor's house. I didn't know who they were, but for some reason I again climbed onto the roof. From there I saw my friends hopping over the fence and headed my way. I decided the roof was a bad idea, since the dinosaur would have no trouble seeing me there, and ran around to the front door of the house and banged on it until somebody answered. I hurriedly explained to them about the giant dinosaur but they looked at me like I was crazy. I began looking around their home and noticed that all of the windows were open, so I closed them. The man in the house looked outside and saw the dinosaur, and went to retrieve his rifle. When I looked out the back window, to see if the dinosaur had made it past the fence, I instead saw a mountain lion. The dinosaur was gone. The big cat had my friends cornered near a tree in the yard. I ran outside and went right up to it and began talking to it and petting it. Then a tiger came around the corner of the house and was growling and showing it's teeth, but I went up to it and began petting it as well. The cats became docile after the petting, but more and more showed up and each one looked dangerous until I stroked them. My friends were all huddled around the tree, scared, until finally all of the cats were pacified. I went back to my friends house and began to drink and carouse with them, until finally things started to wind down and everyone decided it was time for bed. During this time in the dream, several other people had joined the party. I recognized everyone in the group-- people from real life-- but because of what happened next, will not name them here. One of the straight guys, who was very drunk, was making a pallet on the floor at the foot of the bed I was in. Several other people were in the room, also on pallets on the bedroom floor. They were quickly falling asleep, except for the one guy (who I recognized but won't name). He was still a bit rambunctious and loud and decided he was going to get naked. Instead of going to sleep, however, he climbed onto the bed and straddled me and began stimulating my naughty parts. He told me he wanted to do naughty things. I told him he was drunk and he needed to go to sleep. He was undeterred and continued to massage me. I again told him he wouldn't want to do that if he wasn't drunk (and I am 100% sure of that), but he said he didn't care. Eventually I was, eh, stimulated to the point that he could take a firm grip, and he began stroking himself with his other hand. I closed my eyes and decided to allow it.
Then I woke up. Damn it.
Night before last I dreamed that I was back home, in the small town where my family lives. I was driving a pickup truck out of town, I don't know where I was headed. Along the way I passed a house that had a gigantic python in the yard. It wasn't moving, but it stretched all the way from the yard, through the open front door of the house, all the through the house, out the back door, and then around the house back into the front yard. I guessed it to be about 300 feet long. I thought it was weird, but wasn't sure if it was real since it wasn't moving. The dream skipped to me heading back into town, again past the same house with the snake. The snake was still there, in nearly the same position, but this time it had a very large lump about half way down the length of the snake, and immediately realized it was real, and it had eaten. At the time I assumed it was a cow that it had swallowed whole, as the snake was large and the lump in it's body seemed cow-sized.
I drove to warn my mother that there was a huge python just outside of town, and she immediately decided she was going to pack everything and move. We quickly loaded everything into a U-Haul truck and headed out. I followed in my pickup. Apparently everyone else in town had heard of the snake and had also decided to leave, but for some reason we were all taking the very same road-- the one that led right by the snake! The traffic was at a standstill, and so my mother decided to pull over to the side of the road and wait. I pulled over behind her and went to sit in the cab of the U-Haul with her. A few minutes later, I heard screaming and looked out to see the snake was coming up the road, devouring people as it did. I hopped back into my truck and headed back to town, away from the snake. I'm not sure what happened to my mother and the moving truck, as they did not appear in the dream afterwards.
Like the dream with the t-rex, this one began during the day but by the time I reached town the sun had set. I found a large group of townsfolk that had surrounded several blocks with car tires, to which they had set fire. Should the snake return, it would not cross through the flames and smoke to eat the people. We seemed safe, but everyone was still very frightened.
Just as everyone started to calm down, large areas of the ground began to move-- not like an earthquake, but as if it was quicksand. Everyone got nervous again but had no clue what was happening. Suddenly, a swarm of insect crawled out of the ground. They were about three inches long, with plate-like scales. They looked like a cross between a crawfish and a Japanese beetle. The crowd began to scatter, running off in all different directions to escape the bugs. But the bugs were quick, and began attacking, jumping onto people. I saw that they were going for the wrists, tearing into them and extending two long antennae into the cuts, and them burrowing their bodies in. Once the bugs were inside the wrist, they seemed to take over the people-- like in The Puppetmasters and The Faculty. When the human was under the control of the bug, they began trying to catch the people fleeing so that the bugs could also burrow into them. Their eyes became dark, and they had a sinister smile on their faces and they chased the people down. A group of four or five began chasing me, and I climbed up into a large tree. The zombie people nor the bugs seemed to be able to climb into the tree. Other people climbed up to join me, but were pulled down one-by-one as they made their way up the lower branches.
Eventually, I was alone in the tree and could see nobody around that wasn't under the control of the bugs. Seeing that they could not get to me, the zombie people ran off to hunt down others. I decided to try to find a less visible hiding place, so I hopped down from the tree and began to run towards a nearby house. Before I got very far, though, a zombie guy appeared from around the corner of the house. He gave me an evil grin, his eyes solid black. In the dream I recognized him as a friend, but it was nobody that I recognize from the real world. (If the non-dream world is real...) He had spiky hair, bleached blond but with brown roots, and pale skin. He was a bit shorter than I.
I stopped when I saw him, trying to decide which I should go and if I could outrun him. I noticed, though, that something was different with him than with the other zombies. He seemed to recognize me and his eyes went back to normal for a few moments and he looked confused. I didn't know what to do, so I began speaking to him. I can't recall what we said, but he was talking back to me. As we were talking, he began walking towards me again. I stood still, not sure what to do. His eyes were fading back and forth from normal to black. Eventually he was right up in front of me, close enough to touch, and he leaned towards me and began to kiss me. Our lips touched briefly, and then I woke up.
At some point in one of those dreams I ran to another town to escape whatever was chasing me and collapsed into a motel room door, only to find Neville Longbottom, from the Harry Potter series, sleeping in the bed. I can't remember where that bit goes.
I have no clue why the dreams, though quite scary, finished up with kissing and masturbation. Usually I wake up seconds before my imaginary death. No complaints from me about the surprise endings, though.
