I couldn't agree more, although I do wonder about the "We are better than the beasts" part. Often we are worse.

You may consider setting up your webcam and video tape your apartment. Maybe if they visit again you can catch them in the act.

Your story brings back memories. I was stationed at Nellis AFB from Aug 1991 thru Dec 1993. During the summers I spent nearly every other weekend at that beach area. Believe it or not, I would bicycle out from my apartment near Nellis in the morning, spend the day and start bicycling back as the dusk started settling. The view of Las Vegas from the summit of the drive was awesome. I never heard about the "Brain eating amoeba" and thus swam in the lake quite often, but usually chose to swim from a rocky rather than a muddy oozy area. Often saw large striped bass. Never got my brain eaten (the wife might disagree). Also during my times out there I think I helped push out nearly a dozen people that ventured too far in vehicles that were not meant for it. The garbage always made me sad and I too would clean up the area where I spent the day, usually when I first arrived as I could not stand the site of it. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I love you, but you have some of the weirdest hangups. No one should imply you are a k9 because of this - it is training, but the difference is that we are conscious of why we are doing it. K9's doubtfully know anything other that the Pavlovian response of action performed, praise to boot. People I am sure have many reasons for saying it - I say it because of good will, not for the thanks. Bless You my philosophical nephew, Bless You. ;) haha.

The title/caption of the second photo is very catchy.

It should be the title of a song or movie.
